Hospitality & Hotel Management

The CSBM Hospitality & Hotel Management programme aims to provide an understanding of the managerial, decision-making and leadership aspects of the international hospitality and hotel industry. In addition it is also designed to develop independent research and study skills that will be required when working at senior managerial level in the industry.

Within this programme students are required to demonstrate interpersonal, self-study and research and presentation skills throughout the entire qualification. Assessments are developed to encourage these skills that will provide students with a very strong foundation for further studies in hospitality and tourism sectors.

The CSBM Hospitality and Tourism Management Programmes in conjunction with the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality are widely recognised by universities as offering equivalency to degree level study. CSBM graduates may therefore gain direct entry to the final year (in some cases second year) of a variety of hospitality and tourism degree programmes below.

Entry Requirements • Minimum age, 18 years old • Full secondary education. NQF 3 • Minimum of 2 A levels (no less than grade D) for UK applicants • English proficiency: PTE 51 (minimum: Listening 51, Reading 51, Speaking 51, Writing 51) or equivalent, IELTS 5.5 (minimum: Listening 5.5, Reading 5.5, Speaking 5.5, Writing 5.5) or equivalent, TOEFL 87 (minimum: Reading 22, Writing 21, Listening 21, Speaking 23) or equivalent • Mature students (over 21) are accepted, subject to professional references

Course Structure • Pathways: Tourism Managment • Work Experience Element – (optional 3 months Full-time or 6 months Part-time) o Option of Overseas work experience. • Enter the Bachelor Degree of your choice upon completion of course.

Course Outcomes In any other course do they tell teach you how to deal with an Ego-maniac Chef? A Guest who needs a room at exactly 18.5 degrees Celsius when your cooling system is centrally controlled? An expert card counter, cleaning up on your blackjack table? No, no course can teach this, this requires real world skill. Luckily the practical nature, and work experience element of this course will put you ahead of the rest in the employment stakes, meaning that the dream job is yours for the taking.
